Red-Breasted Merganser Smoothie Pair
This outstanding pair of Mergansers was a change for me as the feathers are not carved and fully detailed like most of my birds. Instead, the feather details are painted on each bird. The drake has a "mane" like the actual bird, made of horse hair. Sugar Pine block acrylic paint. 20 x 6 x 7 high. Measured tip of bill to tail. This is a hand-carved one-of-a-kind piece.
