Red Breasted Merganser Smoothie Pair
This outstanding pair of Mergansers is a change for me as the feathers are not carved and fully detailed like most of my birds. Instead, the feather details are painted on each bird. The drake has a "mane" like the actual bird, made of horse hair. Sugar Pine block acrylic paint. 20 x 6x 7 high. Measured tip of bill to tail. This is a hand-carved one-of-a-kind piece. $1900 for the pair. SOLD

I currently have a very limited selection of available birds. Good news bad news, most of my ducks have been sold and I have been busy with commission work. All of my birds are hand-carved and painted, signed one-of-a-kind originals. Check out our reviews and feedback page. Prices vary based on the amount of work involved and the finished quality of the bird. We also welcome the opportunity to create a piece just for you. I enjoy commissions because I keep in contact with the client and send pictures throughout the process. It's like we are working on the piece together. If you would be interested in a piece made just for you or a family member, please contact me. I only produce about 1-2 ducks per month. So there is a lead time if you are thinking about a specific date.
